What a coincidence, it was 1985ish, and U. Brad and I are on our way to FLA. Crossed the state line and about half an hour later, uh-oh….the car decided it had had enough! We too ended up in Lake City with the car towed to Billy Bob’s or something. Spent the night at the lovely Holiday Inn which we can spot from the Interstate everytime we drive down. (But the kids are tired of that story so now we just point it out to each other….). Drove the rental car over to Jacksonville and went on a shopping spree before heading out the next morning in a head-turning rental car — a 1970-something Ford Fairmount!
